Seeking host families for students

Horizons Du Monde hosts an international exchange program that offers short stays, or homestays, throughout the United States (10 days to 1 month) for students between the ages of 14-18.  Students are typically from France or Spain, with interests varying from soccer, music, basketball, horses, computers, and more. The purpose of the visit is for these students to practice their English, broadening their cultural and educational horizons, and be part of an American family routine.

How it Works

Local families host a student visiting the Tampa Bay area.  The host family provides food, bed, transportation and a loving environment.  Throughout the weekday, the students participate in various activities (Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, Local Springs and Beaches, shopping, etc.) with the evenings and weekends spent with the host family. The host families are welcome to join in on the activities, with Horizons Du Monde working around vacations, jobs and transportation concerns.

  1. Very cool. I’m surprised an exchange program was already in place.

  2. Very cool. I think I know a few families that would probably participate.
