SWEET Dilemma

Sprinkles Baking Book

by Heather Lindsay Sell, ShoutOUT®, October 7, 2016

Which delectable delight do I choose? As part of Candace Nelson’s launch of her new cookbook, The Sprinkles Baking Book, I was sent an advanced copy and invited to participate in The Sprinkles Baking Book Challenge.

What is the challenge, do you ask? Excellent question! I’m tasked with selecting one item to bake from the new cookbook, then decorate with creative abandon. The winner of the challenge wins a year of cupcakes!

I thought the challenge for me would be coming up with a wildly inventive decoration. But no. My sweet dilemma, as I thumb through the pages, is which ONE item to whip up. THAT’S the real challenge!!!

I mean, do I choose the Strawberry Cheesecake Cupcakes, the Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Banana Bread, the Ricotta Vanilla Bean Cheesecake, the Chewy Sea Salt Caramels, or one of the numerous other tasty-looking treats? Oh man! This is harder than I thought it would be.

Ok. I got this. I got this. Solution! I’ll just make them all. Wait! What? Um. Ok, not such a good thought. My taste buds would love me, but my hips would never speak to me again.

My deadline is October 14th and I have some imaginative ideas floating around, so keep your eyes open for my next posting.

And wish me luck!
