Straz Center’s Patel Conservatory presents On The Edge

Tampa, Fla. – The Patel Conservatory at the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts will present On The Edge, a contemporary dance performance exploring many genres, in Ferguson Hall on Saturday, April 18, at 7 p.m.

Students from the Patel Conservatory’s Popular Dance (PCPD) program, Next Generation Ballet and Patel Conservatory Youth Ballet, will demonstrate technical and emotional versatility in an incredible performance of contemporary dance. Dancers will showcase a variety of styles, such as contemporary, jazz, hip-hop and tap. The performance will include ensemble pieces, solos and duets accompanied by live percussion under the musical direction of Jim Rungo.

The show will feature performances by PCPD’s Contemporary Show Team and Just For Kicks, led by Kelly King.
