Cocoa and Christmas Lights

Elves and nephew

Disclosure: I was gifted a 4-pack of tickets to experience Christmas Town with my family and provide my honest, personal opinion on our experiences. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own and based completely on my own honest thoughts, perceptions, and experiences.

During the holidays, we tend to have our traditions. Whether it be lighting the menorah and spinning the dreidel during Hanukkah, to exchanging gifts with family on Christmas Eve, to simmering apple cider to sip on Christmas Day, it’s these traditions – paired with the spirit of the  holidays – that become some of the most endearing and treasured of the year.

Christmas Town SignageMy family has many of these traditions too. A highlight every year is viewing the sparkling Christmas lights and decorations. It’s a tradition I’ve shared with my now grown 23-year-old daughter and one that I continue to share with my mom, brother, and 12-year-old nephew.

Red Christmas LightsSo when I was graciously invited to experience the twinkling lights and magical wintertime display at Busch Gardens’ Christmas Town, a first time for me, I happily accepted. The vibrant splay of rich colors – purples, oranges, reds, and greens – dancing across the park like a well-orchestrated chorus line were truly enchanting.

Here were a few of my favorite things from my family’s visit that I’d definitely recommend checking out:

Poinsettia TreeThe towering red poinsettia Christmas tree adorned with green poinsettias cascading around the limbs like a delicate ribbon.

White Angel Human StatueMust see. The stunning angelic statue. That moves. She was amazing! [Watch video here]

The spray of colors, baubles, snow bubbles, and thousands of lights were a sight to behold.

Recommendation: Leave plenty of time to stroll through the village, see the lights, take photos with special characters, and sip on the hot cocoa. Lots of people were there enjoying the outing with their families the evening we went, so allow time for lines and a slower pace.

There’s still time to catch the Jingle Bell train and visit Busch Gardens’ annual Christmas Town. It won’t last for much longer with select dates now until December 31st. Visit Busch Gardens’ website for more info and to purchase tickets.
